Vintage Floor lamp Luminator, burnished brass circa 1920, marked a milestone in lighting world because it was the first lamp with indirect light. Simple and elegant lamp, Luminator model is defined, in the early ’30s, as the greatest contribution to modern efficient lighting technology. Its distinguishing feature is the special reflector widened and open at the top which, in order to provide an indirect and shadowless lighting, reflects the light of the bulb enclosed in it. The term Luminator tends to define the entire system and the technology of the reflected light, obtained by a metal reflector of a special alloy based on aluminum.
