Vintage Luminator Floor Lamp. Vintage model in burnished brass from around 1920, it marked a milestone in world lighting technology as it was the first indirect light lamp. Essential and elegant lamp, the Luminator model was defined, at the beginning of the 1930s, as the greatest contribution to the modern technique of rational lighting. Its distinguishing feature is the special enlarged and upward-opening reflector, which projects light onto the ceiling. The fixed diffuser reflects the light of the bulb enclosed in it in order to provide indirect, shadow-free illumination. The term Luminator tends to define the entire system and the technology of reflected light, obtained with a metal parabola of a special aluminum-based alloy.
